RV Rental Advantages for Lexington Visitors

The Midlands Region Runs on Events

Lexington sits at the heart of one of South Carolina’s most active outdoor and event corridors. Within 90 miles: Gamecock home games at Williams-Brice Stadium, concerts at Icehouse Amphitheater, festivals along the Three Rivers Greenway, year-round recreation at Lake Murray and Dreher Island State Park, and natural escapes like Congaree National Park and Sesquicentennial State Park. During major events, hotels in Columbia and the surrounding Midlands fill up fast at peak rates. An RV puts you on-site or minutes from the action — no commute, no inflated nightly rate, no competing for a room.

Event Camping Without the Logistics Headache

Fireside RV Rental in Lexington delivers your RV directly to approved campgrounds, event sites, and RV parks throughout the region — fully set up and ready when you arrive. No towing experience required. Whether you’re setting up near Williams-Brice Stadium for a Gamecock game weekend, parking at a Lake Murray campground for a summer festival, or heading out to Congaree National Park for a few nights under the stars, the RV is there when you need it.

Group Travel — Fly In, Drive Out

Flying into Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), Charlotte Douglas International (CLT), or Greenville-Spartanburg International (GSP)? Fireside can coordinate delivery so your group is ready to roll — no rental car, no shuttle, no hotel check-in. Your group arrives, loads up, and heads directly to the campground or event. For multi-day weekends at Lake Murray, Dreher Island State Park, or a Gamecock home-game stretch, that means four to eight people traveling together and staying on-site — at a fraction of what multiple hotel rooms would cost at peak event pricing. Contact us for details on drivable RV options available for airport pickup coordination.

Columbia Metropolitan Airport puts you right in the heart of Lexington County, with easy access via Interstate 20 and Interstate 26. Charlotte Douglas is roughly 90 minutes north via I-77, and Greenville-Spartanburg is about 90 minutes northwest via I-26 — both well within reach for Midlands adventures.

Fireside Rv was a wonderful experience! Richard was one of the most accommodating hosts I have experienced between Vrbo, AirBnB and Outdoorsy for any rental of anything. The best aspect was his willingness to work with us with short notice and a tight timeline. Our family had a wonderful time with a camper that exceeded our expectations for cleanliness and quality. Thank you again Richard!

We had an amazing time at Lake Murray for a week. Richard was a breeze to work with and had our camper setup before we arrived and a very thorough briefing when we got there. Everything went great, clean and comfortable living for the week.

Richard is super friendly and genuinely cares that you have a great experience camping. He spent a generous amount of time briefing me on the use of all the systems on the camper that we rented and answering all of my questions. He even responded to a text question that I had very late at night after we got set up at the campsite. Richard was very accommodating to our schedule as well. I would absolutely drive the hour and a half down from Charlotte to rent from Fireside RV Rentals again because of the great experience.
